You'll fly to Mandalay in the morning. You will explore Mandalay and the former capitals of Ava, Sagaing and Amarapura. There are many small villages located amid Ava’s ruins and you travel there by horse and cart. Then, you'll cross a bridge over the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing. You will also stop at a small pottery village and Amarapura, the ‘City of Immortality’. You'll visit a silk weaving workshop, Mahagandayon monastery, and U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak span.

After early breakfast, you'll transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. From Heho, a scenic one-hour drive leads to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, you'll stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which features beautiful carvings and a collection of Buddha images. Upon reaching Inle Lake, you'll board a private boat for a lake cruise. You will visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, observe the leg-rowing fishermen and their daily lifestyle, local workshops.

Begin the day with a visit to Inle Lake’s morning market. The market rotates around the lake so as to be accessible to lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to sell and trade their wares. You will also visit the Pa-oh village of Indein. You'll stroll through the village, visiting a local school and the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area. After enjoying your visit to Indein, you'll return to your boat and then your hotel.

This morning is at your leisure to further explore Nyaung Shwe. Should you wish to book a boat for the morning, it can be arranged. Alternatively, you can also do a bike tour or a wine tasting as an option. Around lunchtime, you'll transfer to Heho Airport for the flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, your car and guide will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Bagan. You'll then have the afternoon to explore.

Today starts at an elevated temple with spectacular views over the surrounding plains. You will visit Ananda Temple, Myinkaba Village and Gubyaukgyi Temple. Nearby is Manuha Temple and Nan Paya Temple. You'll learn about the local culture in the two workshops: lacquerware and wood crafts. After a break for lunch, in the afternoon, you'll take horse and cart ride through the temple area, fields and houses. You'll stop at an elevated temple to watch the sunset over the plains.
