In the morning, you will visit the nearby emblematic site of Palenque, Tonina's great rival at that time. This ancient Mayan city is said to date back to around 226 BC to AD 799; it is a glorious alternative to the more famous Chichen Itza. In the afternoon, you will relax at the nearby Misol Ha waterfalls. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, this small waterfall tumbles into a pool which is a light blue colour due to the high mineral content.
