Arrive today at Chania International Airport and take a bus transfer to your hotel in Kissamos, which is an hour-long journey. After you have checked into your accommodation, your Crete food tour will begin with a welcome dinner at the Cellar Taverna in the evening, which is situated right on the seafront. This family-run taverna of over 20 years has an excellent reputation for its fresh fish and seafood speciality dishes.

This morning you will travel to a small village to visit a local farmhouse. The owners will welcome you and offer you an insight into Cretan life. The family here is self-sufficient with their own produce and livestock. You will enjoy a wine and cheese tasting and you will get to try some of the homemade products here like walnuts, olive oil and lemonade. Lunch will be in a local taverna in the hills. The afternoon is free for you to relax in Kissamos, at the beach or at your hotel.

tavernas. This afternoon is free for you to explore Chania further at your leisure, and you have the opportunity to stay and enjoy dinner in Chania harbour if you wish.

Today you have a full day at your leisure to enjoy Crete as you please, giving you time to explore some other parts of the island if you wish. Enjoy a relaxed beach day at Seitan Limania, a great spot to chill out and enjoy the sparkling Aegean Sea. If you're looking for a more adventurous activity, the hike around Balos Lagoon provides some spectacular views. History buffs can visit the archaeological site in Heraklion, where you'll find centuries-old frescoes and baths.
