Today, you'll travel from Castellammare di Stabia to Capri Island by train and boat from Sorrento. Once you have reached the island, the day will be free for you to explore at your own pace. Capri is famed for its incredibly rugged landscape, its designer shopping and high-end boutiques, and of course, the legendary Blue Gotto, a cave where the sea glows a luminous blue. You can take a leisurely pace to explore all of these sites today if you wish to do so.

This morning start your tour of the Amalfi Coast by catching a boat from Castellammare to Positano and Amalfi to admire the entire coast by sea. You'll take some time to visit the beautiful Positano, a stunning cliffside village well-known for its pebble beachfront and narrow stone streets flanked by boutique shops and pavement cafes. Then you'll go to the town of Amalfi, one of the most historic towns on the Amalfi Coast before going back to Sorrento with a private driver.

This morning, you'll catch a train to reach the archaeological site of Pompeii. Located on a plateau formed by the mighty Vesuvius volcano's lava flow, Pompeii is a city which dates back over 2,000 years, the earliest available traces recorded being 7th-6th century BC. During the Roman rule, Pompeii was completely buried under 30 feet of ash during an eruption by Mount Vesuvius. It lay undiscovered until the 17th century.

Today you have the entire day free to spend in Naples and explore the city at your pace. You will reach the city by train in the morning then head to the historical centre to soak up the rich history of this wonderful city. While away the hours by wandering through the alleys of the historic centre, marvelling at the wonderful architecture and churches, absorb the sounds and take in the flavours of Naples in a streetside cafe.

This morning, you'll visit the Villa of Stabiae, the Roman villas that like Pompeii and Herculaneum, were buried under ashes and stones following an eruption by Mount Vesuvius. You'll then climb, with the cable car, your own car or by bus, the 1,400 metres up to Monte Faito for incredible views over the Sorrento peninsula. The mountain is a very popular destination especially in summer when it represents a cool refuge.

Today, you'll head to Sorrento by train to wander through this lovely city and taste the local wine at a nice cellar. You may want to visit Piazza Tasso, a large piazza which is one of the busiest and most popular areas in Sorrento, the beach or take a hike up the side of Mount Vesuvius. If you like, you can take part in a cellar tour and a wine tasting at De Angelis Winery, a family business boasting a beautiful view of the sea.
