Start the day with an early morning bird-watching walk through the forest where you'll learn about its ecosystem and the many endemic species of birds that thrive in it, then enjoy breakfast at Luwawa Forest Lodge. You will then make the short journey from Luwawa to Chelinda Lodge in Nyika National Park and observe the change in landscape as we go. Lunch will be a picnic en route.

Nyika National Park is one of Malawi’s oldest and most iconic areas of wilderness. Begin the day with an early morning nature walk before returning to the lodge for breakfast and the morning game drive. Back at the lodge, lunch will be served and then you will have some free time before the evening game drive begins. Nyika National Park is Malawi's largest park with vast open plains that have seen a great regeneration of many species.

An early morning mountain biking ride will start the day the right way - energised! Return to the lodge for breakfast and some free time. Then, in the late afternoon, you will depart for a game drive through the park in search of wildlife, you'll finish the day at Chosi Viewpoint for sundowners while gazing out across Malawi's beautiful scenery.

Head off on a leisurely early morning walk, where you can spot some of the 400 bird species that inhabit the plateau as well as some of the 200 wildflowers and orchids that can be seen in the months of January and March if you are travelling at that time. After breakfast, it's a 4-hour drive to Chintheche. You'll meet some of the members of the local community on a walk through the nearby villages.

Spend the morning exploring the coastline by kayak. As one of the world's deepest and oldest lakes, you'll never cease to be amazed by what Lake Malawi has to show you. Return and rest before lunch is served at the inn. In the afternoon, you will be able to explore the beach by bike at a leisurely pace. You can continue your cycle to nearby villages if you wish. Dinner will be served at the Inn.

Chintheche Inn offers a range of water-based activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving and boat rides. In the afternoon, you visit the Root to Fruit Tree Nursery that began on the shores of Lake Malawi, as a small-scale tree planting project with a goal of starting 10,000 seedlings at Chintheche Inn, to be distributed to the surrounding community. Enjoy a delicious cocktail or mocktail with a local twist.
