Departure by land rover to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas mountains passing through the Tich’n’Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260 metres. Visit the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, the most famous in Morocco that has served as a set for many great movies. The Kasbah is actually under UNESCO protection. Continue to Zagora, the track road leads through numerous villages and palm groves along the Drâa river.

Excursion to Tamegroute, to visit the famous library containing old books dating from the 12th century. Departure to Erfoud, partly by track road and partly by normal road through Tansikht and Nkob where splendid scenery of pre-Saharan desert dotted with Berber villages. Arriving in Merzouga, go on a camel ride to see the sunset over the sand dune. Dinner and accommodation are in tents.

Once you hike in the magnificent palm groves and meet the friendly Berber villagers of Todra Gorge, Morocco will never be the same for you. You'll have an excursion to the canyons with the possibility for a short hike. Continue to Boulmane where we enter the Dades canyons via the road of the thousand kasbahs.

Departure to EL Kelâa from where we take again the track road to the village of Skoura. On the way, we pass the beautiful kasbah of Amerhidel. The track road continues till Ouarzazate at the foot of the Atlas mountains. When you arrive, you'll be free to walk around more kasbahs and become acquainted with the centuries-old history of the town, a popular stopping point on the old trading routes to East Africa.

You'll have a short visit to Ouarzazate including the Kasbah of Taourirt. Continue to Telouet by a track road which is one of the most difficult parts of this tour. We are crossing two river beds and are climbing the Atlas mountains. The scenery is stunning. Visit of the Kasbah of Telouet, former residence of the Glaoui family, one of the most influential families of this region with lunch on the way. Via the Tich’N’tichka pass, we'll continue to Marrakesh.
