Embark on an eight-day journey starting in the coastal city with a range of tours in Port Lincoln, before making your way around the Eyre Peninsula to a boutique tented camp where you'll explore the Gawler Ranges National Park before jetting off to Adelaide for your final two nights!

Gawler Ranges offer amazing diversity and profusion of wildlife in numbers rarely seen elsewhere in Australia. The area has an extraordinary range of wildly beautiful outback country boasting contrasting colours of red sands and rocky gorges, blue skies, and the glistening white of massive Lake Gairdner.

Today, you'll arrive in Port Lincoln on a scheduled flight. You'll then transfer to the Port Lincoln hotel on your own. After settling in to your oceanfront hotel, you'll then have the rest of the day free to explore the town or relax by the hotel's rooftop pool - the choice is yours!

Today, after breakfast, you'll have the day free to explore Port Lincoln, the seafood capital of Australia! You can take an optional tour in Port Lincoln National Park or a tour to swim with the sea lions. You can also visit Coffin Bay for an Oyster Farm tour which is a wonderful way to spend the day. During this tour, you can taste fresh Pacific and native Angasi oysters straight out of the water, and have a hands-on shucking lesson and shuck your very own oyster.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel. First, you'll visit a colony of wild koalas at Mikkira Station before travelling through farming land to Wudinna, stopping for lunch along the way. You'll pass Wudinna Rock as you travel into the outback to Kangaluna Camp. After a rest at Kangaluna, there is an afternoon tour to begin your wildlife experience, the outback animals thrive in this environment. You'll spot many animals before enjoying sunset drinks at Kolay Mirica Rocks.

Today, you'll visit an ochre pit on the drive to spectacular Lake Gairdner, which is like a piece of Antarctica, with its glistening white salt pan set in the red landscape. Here, you can walk on the surface of the lake and look north to see the endless white plain and the striking red surroundings and islands. You'll then drive through a changing landscape, cigar-shaped volcanic rock formations 1600 million years old, and lots of wildlife including emus and red, western grey and euro kangaroos.

Day 5

This morning is leisurely and allows plenty of time to walk through the bush near the camp. Later on, you will walk on Lake Sturt in the Corrobinnie Depression and see the array of colours and patterns in the bed of the old lake. Continuing around the lake to Mt Sturt, you'll observe a diversity of plants and trees. You'll visit the amazing Pildappa Wave Rock en-route to an early arrival back to Kangaluna Camp. In the evening, sunset drinks will finish the day at Sturt’s Lake.

Early in the morning, you'll drive to Baird Bay where you will board the boat for an unforgettable wildlife experience. On the five-kilometre journey to a lagoon at Jones Island near Cape Radstock, you can watch Bottlenose dolphins ride the bow wave of the boat. You'll cross the bay to visit a resident colony of rare Australian sea lions. After lunch, you'll visit Venus Bay, Elliston and enjoy magnificent coastal scenery on the journey to Port Lincoln where you'll catch a flight to Adelaide.

Once a sleepy city, Adelaide has revolutionised itself in the last few decades into a sophisticated, multicultural city with a world-class art, music and festival scene. If you're feeling like you want to explore further, you can take an optional tour to the Barossa Valley, South Australia's famous wine region or even to Kangaroo island. Alternatively, you can take the tram to Glenelg and enjoy the beach and waterfront area!
