You will be welcomed at the airport, driven to your hotel in Lima and you will then have the rest of your day free to spend as you wish. Lima, also known as the 'City of Kings', was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro. Located directly on the Pacific coast, Peru’s capital city is a melting pot of cultures where you will encounter people, flavours and history from different regions. The bustling metropolis has something for all tastes and ages.

Today, you'll embark on a colonial and contemporary city tour of Lima. You'll visit numerous must-see sights including the San Francisco Monastery. Afterwards, you'll enjoy a guided visit to one of Lima’s most noted museums, the Larco Museum, which houses the world’s largest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian Art, focussing on women's roles in ancient Peru. In the afternoon, you'll have the option to visit a famous waterpark and have dinner in a famous restaurant in Barranco.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in the Urubamba Valley, known as Sacred Valley, where the Urubamba River, a headstream of the Amazon passes through. On your way to the Urubamba Valley you will undertake a short visit to the Sanctuary Cochahuasi. You will have the opportunity to see Pumas, Condors and Aras. The small conservation project is not comparable with a Zoo. It’s also possible to get an insight in the Andean web techniques.

In the morning, you will visit the “Mercado de Urubamba”, an authentic market where real bartering of agricultural products as well as animals takes place. It is also the place where locals exchange gossips and news. Continue to Ollantaytambo, a typical Inca community, towering above the town of the same name. Steep stone terraces rising from the edge of town lead up to the fortress ruins at the top of the hill. You'll also have the option to trek to the terraces of Yucay.

This morning, you'll transfer by bus to Ollantaytambo train station where the tour starts by train through the fertile plain of the Urubamba valley and on to Aguas Calientes. From there, a bus will take you to Machu Picchu. Known as the Lost City of the Incas, this cultural heritage of mankind is a beautifully located impressive stone city constructed with a technique incredible for its era and even for present times. After a two-hour guided tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel.

This morning, you'll have the option to visit Machu Picchu again for a more in-depth experience. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo from where you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco. Doing this journey in reverse, you'll be able to appreciate different perspectives and views of the Sacred Valley. Your luggage will be transferred for you.

Then, you'll journey into the past as you explore Sacsayhuamán, the Inca ceremonial fortress dedicated to the sun.

This morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. You'll then have the option of a number of tours, one is a culinary tour through Lima. You'll visit a well-known market for some food tasting following by a sampling of classic Peruvian dishes. Alternatively, you can head out with your local guide to explore Peru with a tour of Lima's lively Barranco district.
