Upon arrival, you'll take a private transfer from Venice station to your hotel. You'll meet your local guide in the afternoon for a stroll around Venice to see the main highlights of the floating city. Meeting in St. Mark’s Square, you’ll take a few moments to appreciate this incredible space - it's absolutely enormous! Then, you'll move onto to the Doge’s Palace, the real heart of the Republic of Venice – home to the duke, the government, torture chambers, prisons and so much more.

Today, you'll join a small group tour to discover the enchanting islands of Murano and Burano, two of the 100 islands that make up this wonderful floating city. In Murano, you'll see why the art of glassblowing has made this island so famous worldwide during a live glassblowing workshop. You'll then move onto the colourful island of Burano, which is a photographer's dream with its brightly-painted rainbow houses. Here, you'll learn about the art of lacemaking.

After breakfast, you'll check out and catch the train to Florence. In the afternoon, you'll have a walking tour with a private guide. You will visit the imposing Piazza del Duomo, the Square of the Dome and the Florence Cathedral. Your guide will give you a brief introduction before leading you into the quieter streets of the Santa Croce neighbourhood. This is where Dante used to hang out and where Michelangelo both lived and was buried. Few visitors venture into this part of town.

Occupying the whole of the first and second floors of a large building that was constructed between 1560 and 1580, the Uffizi Gallery is renowned worldwide for its large collection of ancient sculptures and paintings. Next, you'll visit Gallerie dell'Accademia Florence, which is famous throughout the world for its statues and sculptures by the great Renaissance artist, Michelangelo.

Today, you'll experience the beautiful Tuscan countryside a little differently - on the back of a typical Italian vehicle: a Vespa! You'll ride along the scenic and silent country roads through the hills of Tuscany on a scooter admiring the sights, smells and sounds of the Chianti region! You'll fall in love with the rolling hills of grape and olive orchards and visit two wineries where you'll learn all about wine and olive oil production in this area.

This morning, you'll check out and catch the train to Rome. In the afternoon after you've settled into your hotel, you'll board a snappy Ape Calessino, the “cousin” of the Vespa and visit the most iconic sites of the city with its Baroque squares and fountains from Piazza di Spagna to Trevi Fountain. During the tour, you'll have a headset which will provide commentary about all the sites you visit so you'll be able to take in the history of these sites as well as their beauty.

All of these iconic landmarks make up one of the great and oldest excavation sites in the world. Then, you'll have some free time for lunch. In the late afternoon, you'll start a guided tour of the lively Trastevere area including delicious food and wine tastings along the way.

After breakfast, you'll visit the Vatican City, technically the smallest country in the world, and embark on a guided tour of the Vatican Museums. One of the greatest and largest collections of artworks in the world, a walk around the Pope's galleries could take up an entire day, however, your guide will show you the most important and impressive pieces. You'll have the rest of the day to explore the city, get lost in the winding streets and sample some of the local delicacies.
