Today, you are embarking on a magical journey through middle-earth to the Hobbiton Movie Set from the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies for a fascinating guided tour. Travelling from Auckland over the Bombay Hills to the rich farmland of the Waikato Region, this journey takes you through undulating green hills to Shire's Rest. Here you will see 44 hobbit holes, the Mill and double arch bridge, the party tree and of course Bilbo's house, Bag End.

Today, you will depart Auckland and travel to New Zealand's Capital City, Wellington. You will be met by your driver on arrival and taken by private transfer to your hotel. Once you've settled into your hotel, spend the afternoon exploring all that Wellington has to offer. The people, or Wellingtonians as they are known, are renowned for their great taste in craft beer and strong coffee. Throughout the city, the streets are teeming with great restaurants, night food markets and food trucks.

Today, you'll venture out on a half-day tour exploring the very best filming locations the Wellington Region has to offer. Leaving the city behind, you'll seek out the beautiful, natural settings that made New Zealand into 'Middle-earth'. Starting at the Hutt River, you'll visit the Gardens of Isengard and the Kaitoke Regional Park, before making your way up Mount Victoria at the end of the tour to admire the view over Wellington city.

Today, you will join your Weta Cave Workshop tour and get up close to the props, weapons and costumes created for The Lord of the Rings. You'll also see the artists at work on the tour stage and have a peek through windows that look directly into the workshop; whilst you may not be able to enter the workshop you can still get a sense of what it is like to work in there. In the afternoon, you'll return to Wellington where you can relax or explore for the rest of the day.

Today, you will travel to the stunning city of Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand, and will be met by your driver on arrival and taken by private transfer to your hotel. Upon arriving at your resort which boasts incredible views of the famous Remarkables Mountains. Situated on the shore of Lake Wakatipu, you'll be able to admire the lake and stroll around it this afternoon.

Today, you'll enjoy a Wilderness Safari that takes you on a spectacular 1.5-hour Jet Boat journey through the Dart River and an easy walk through the 'Heritage Trail' at Paradise. You'll also journey by 4WD coach via a scenic back-road route and stopping to view scenery that has formed the epic backdrop for many international films, including The Lord of the Rings. This is an adventure-filled day that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

Today, you will be taken on a scenic tour that offers breathtaking mountain and forest views along the shores of Lake Wakatipu towards Glenorchy and on into Paradise. This tour includes the film locations of Minas Tirith, Misty Mountains, the Pillars of the Kings plus the site of Isildur's fall and the Ford of Bruinen. You will be dropped back off to Queenstown at the end of this tour.
