You'll be free to leave when you wish for the four-hour drive to Cradle Mountain to check into your pine cabin in this pine park! In the morning, you'll leave for Strahan to arrive and check-in in time for the Wildnerness Railway. Passengers in the Wilderness Carriage will enjoy a welcoming glass of sparkling wine when boarding and a Tasmanian Tasting Tower, or canapés and a light lunch on morning departures. You'll also enjoy complimentary hot beverages during your journey, along with access to the open balcony to get up close to the rainforest to take pictures. Today, you’ll cross the harbour to reach Hells Gates where the harbour and ocean meet in a turbulent channel marked by a lighthouse. You’ll pass fish farms on the lower reaches of the Gordon River, then glide slowly upstream. You'll then reach the largest tract of temperate rainforest surviving on earth before Sarah Island, the last stop, where you'll walk among the ruins of this settlement as your guide recounts the stories of convicts, soldiers, and settlers.
